When Singtel texted you personally to order iPhone 4S and got it delivered to your door step personally without going down to any Singtel store to get your phone process done. That is when you take the opportunity to buy 2 iPhones rather than 1! Really awesome service!

Accepted a last minute order last week with a pretty special yet simple customized cake design, four days before the order date. Usually, I don't take in orders one week before the order date as my customers would have to order their cakes at least two weeks back! That's because, I want to make sure every cakes/cupcakes that I out get praises from the customers that received them and it's nice to know that they love it too. I always love getting lovely comments from people who I do not know, that have tried my pastries compared to those who I know!! Because, what you really get from your customers are honest comments as they paid quite a bit for my pastries (:

But for this order, I knew I had to do it! It was for a fifty years old lady! Her daughter actually organized a birthday party for her at Demsey and ordered this customized cake from me! Every daughter wants the best for her beloved mummy! She even given me every single details about this cake and making sure that, I knew what she want from the cake! Which is really really awesome!

To be really honest, I like it when my customers have ideas on what they are looking for in their cakes/cupcakes because, it makes my job much easier!! And to meet their expectation is properly the best risk I ever love to take! I'm not a risk taker but, I love trying out new designs for my cakes/cupcakes! It makes me stress at the same time yet really excited to see the end products. Guess, that is the right motivation for all pastry chefs right? (:

You know at times, you want something yet you can't get it and ended getting something else instead? Yes, it always happens to me and I just repeat it yesterday again. Went down to Singtel to get iPhone 4S but, it was sold out!!!!!! So I ended up at the apple store, getting an iPad 2 instead. How fickle minded I am! I ended up paying another $200plus more just for an iPad which look like an iPhone just that it is much bigger. And even though, I own one now but I still do think iPad is ugly! No offense to those iPad users! Anyway, I hope I'll be able to get my iphone 4S by next week! Because, my stupid iphone 3GS is killing me!!!!! It's lagging like a slow grandfather tortoise and it pisses me off every time I log into my whatsapp! Don't you guys experience that too? 

gingerbread man

I have been stressing myself out with new designs for Christmas cake, Christmas cupcakes, gingerbread man and gingerbread house. I know, some of you guys thinks it's pretty too early for some Christmas ideas right now but, I guess that is not the case for me. Christmas will definitely be a really busy time for us at The Pastry chefs. Our Christmas photo shoot is next Saturday yet, we haven't even come out with anything. Not to forget, we still have orders coming in. hmmmm. 

Anyway, I've decided to bake some gingerbread man today! At the beginning, I really have no idea on what I wanna dress my gingerbread man as!! I wanted something plain and nice to look at, and suddenly the thought of Gingy came into my mind. Don't everyone love Gingy and  just can't get enough of him? It's sad that I could hardly even see anyone actually designing their gingerbread as Gingy. But I guess, that's a good thing for me because, I'm doing it now! :DD

If you guys have watched Shrek the movie, you guys would have known that Gingy isn't happy to be tortured by the evil Lord Farquaad and to be eaten up! But not too worry at all, this Gingy of mine love to eaten up in a good way. He love to bring smiles to those kids and people around him, and he just wanna make their little tummy feel loved on Christmas day!!

So celebrating Halloween this year was a pretty last minute idea for me and my friends, as a few of us were supposed to be at Bangkok for some real retail therapy for our dear wardrobe! But just two days before our trip, I've decided to postpone everything as the flood over at Bangkok freaks everyone out in Singapore. Fantastic!

So as news spread and everyone knows that I wasn't going for my trip, Bee suggested going to USS for Halloween night but sadly, tickets was sold out. So I suggested dressing up as angels instead. Everyone met at my place in the late afternoon and obviously, we guys took forever to dress up. Our wings was really beautiful but the feathers keeps dropping. It was hilarious. My room was filled with dropping feathers.

There again, this year Halloween didn't really feel like Halloween to be really honest. Guess, it's just Singapore! The only place where people dare to dress up in their costumes was at Clarke quay! Met hotdog, chili, lobster, ice-cream, wonder woman, the mahjong family, angry birds, baby devil and many others there. HAHAHA.

girls night out

It was a girly night out over at my place, as I was too tired to dress up and head down to town. So I invited my girls over instead. We had japanese food for that night! Totally in love with the salad dressing from sushi tei. (must try) Anyway, we girls ate so much before we let it all out on WII! It's actually my first time playing with my WII ever since I got it like 6months back!!! So it was 2hours hours of screaming and laughing, before I suggested taking photo booth. Everyone loves photo booth and we just can't get enough of it! Had an awesome night with my girls! Can't wait for more of this to comeeeeeee ♡♡♡
